Childrens Music Program

The Children’s Choir theme beginning in September 2007 is The Wonderful Mystery.  How can God listen to everyone's prayers at once?  How can God know how many hairs are on each person's head?  How can God be everywhere at the same time?  This year, our young detectives will discover that God is too big to be explained.  The mystery deepens when they learn this magnificent God wants to be their closest friend.  Our children's mission will result in responding to God, The Wonderful Mystery, in worship!

Cherub Choir  3 year old through Kindergarten meet with Diane Barber on Sunday mornings during Children's Worship.

Chorister I   1st and 2nd Graders meet with Diane Barber from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons in the Children’s Worship Center.  They sing for worship services two or three times a year and participate in the All Church Christmas Concert and the Spring Chorister Musical Extravaganza.   New children are always welcome to join this group for a really fun, Bible based, musical experience.

Chorister II  3rd Grade through 6th Graders meet on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the West Wing.  Chorister II sings for worship services several times each year and participate in a Spring Chorister Musical Extravaganza.  This fun active group is led by Lisa Rolf.  Newcomers are always welcome and the members are encouraged to bring their friends.

John Calvin Ringers is our handbell choir for 3rd - 8th graders. Musical training is taught as well as coordination and proper handling of the bells and chimes.  They have Bible lessons, games and learn to ring favorite praise songs, hymns and Christmas Carols.  They participate in the All Church Christmas Concert and the Spring Chorister Musical Extravaganza.  Their theme this year is “The Wonderful Mystery”.  Newcomers are always welcome and can be quickly trained to catch up with the other ringers.  They are led by Meredith Mizell and meet on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary.  A favorite tradition for this fun group has been the annual “JCR Lock-in” at the end of the school year.
