Q : Now that it’s (FALL, WINTER, SPRING), I’m ready to claim my spot in the FPC Music and Arts Program. What are my choices?

Q : Unbelievable. I didn’t realize how much was going on with the Music and Arts Program. How do they do it?

Q : Now that it’s (FALL, WINTER, SPRING), I’m ready to claim my spot in the FPC Music and Arts Program. What are my choices?
A: There are seven different groups offered beginning in the fall:

Vocal Groups
  • Cerub Choir - PreK
  • Chorister I – 1st through 2nd Grade
  • Chorister II – 3rd through 6th Grade
  • First Pres Praise Team – Youth & Adults
  • Chancel Choir – Youth & Adults
Handbell Groups
  • John Calvin Ringers – 3rd through 8th Grade
  • Westminster Ringers - Adults
Instrumental Group
  • FPC Instrumental Ensemble
  • First Pres Praise Team
Arts Programs
  • Banner Ministry
  • Drama Team
  • Reader's Choir
  • Puppet Ministry
  • Dance Ministry

Q : Unbelievable. I didn’t realize how much was going on with the Music and Arts Program. How do they do it?
A: Everyone works very hard to keep the programs going, but we definitely need more help.

Q : Can I volunteer to help?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We’d love it! The more help the better!

Q : What about me? Are there any jobs for someone who doesn’t want to actually sing, ring, dance or act?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We could really use some choir angels to:

  • Work on publicity around town and for the newspapers
  • Play piano or keyboard for the choirs
  • Play instruments or piano for children’s programs
  • Share an interest or hobby at Music Program events
  • Providing snacks for special events
  • Baking for fund raisers
  • Making posters for special events
  • Painting scenery for plays
  • Organizing and making small repairs on robes for children
  • Sewing Costumes for drama productions
  • Drive children to activities
  • Changing or creating the choir bulletin boards
  • Filing music
  • Organizing music library
  • Organizing Costume Closet

Q : How do I sign up?
A: Call Meredith Mizell at the church #334-3468 or just drop by for a visit.

Q : Is there any other way I can stay current on the activities and opportunities provided by the Music and Arts Department?
A: Yes, look for announcements in bulletins, newsletter and on the FPC website.

Q : Well, that sounds great. I’m ready to have some fun. When can I sign up?
A: Yesterday, today, tomorrow, next week, next month. ANYTIME! Your help will be greatly appreciated!
